No Markis!!!!! - Guild Wars Forums

I went through the painstaking task of killing EVERY single monster in the iron mines of moladune mission, with just henches(i was the monk) and markis was nowhere to be found, so i got the bonus, but could not finish the mission, has anyone else had this happen?(ive done mission with other chars, i know where he is supposed to be)

oww.

you killed both the left and right path of monsters w/o seeing markis.(that's alot)
and no markis.
hmm that's pretty weird.

well since you said you did the bonus. when i did bonus (w/henchies) right after bonus guy was about to go in portal to leave. Markis was in the vicinity and I just followed through w/ the same path and got to him in the end.

So i got both (bon/mission) just following the left path from start.
maybe sometimes mission elements get bugged. dunno.

I had the funny bug of him getting stuck right at the beginning of the map. He was stuck in some odd place he should not be. However you could approach him and finish him off without him defending himself. Mission done in 2 Minutes Oo

Maybe the same thing happened to you? He got stuck in some place he should not be.

I just ran into the missing markis thing. Found his lair and killed 2 of the jade armor that come to life (2 never would) but he was not in his spot. In the previous try I killed him but died to the jade armors (mistakenly thought just killing markis ended the mission so I was caught off guard). Don't know if that bugged the 2nd try. Pretty easy mission otherwise as long as you know where to find Markis (directly north of the seer along a path just outside the seer's cave then through a tunnel till you see Markis's little fortress).

Well like Feli sais what happens is @ the very begging of the mission if u press yer ctrl ull see that hes runnig on that bridge u go under and somtimes just somtimes he gets stuck on one of the jades coming in the opposite direction so what u do is when the mission starts u run over by that bridge stand there press ctrl and look to see if he gets stuck if he does and yer not infused go and get infused then come back to the bridge and take HIM out 1st if u attack the jade 1st ur scrwed couse hell just vanish and then ull have to go trhu the hole thing.

That happened to me and a PUG 2 nights ago. I have nothing to offer other than it happened to us as well and we could not find him even after looking around. Also, the same thing happened with the 2 Jade Armors not coming to life to fight us.

I do know that we reached the point for the infusion and didn't go kill the monster to complete the infusion, as we had taken care of that in a previous run. I had suggested to the group that we go back to finish up the infusion even if we didn't need it, just to see if that somehow caused Markis to not appear.

mission accomplished in two minutes?? right... what about the jade armors?!?! Did the mission 4 times in a row a couple weeks ago and NO MARKIS :'( fifth time he was finally there.

I'm 0 for 3 with no Markis and each time only 2 jade's will wake up.

I doubt they are related, but the last 4 times I've done this mission when we ran to infusion he was never in the "normal" spot, but the one time we fought to the infusion spot he was in his "normal" spot.

If he's not there and the other 2 jades don't activate, go toward the the bonus (across a bridge the opposite side of the fort if you came from infusion) killing everything you see until you find him. It's easy to miss because it doesn't look the main path, but he's there.

It's also much easier to do the bonus this way as you clear out the escape route in the process so you kill Markis, talk to the bonus guy and follow him, then go back to the fort and the 2 jades will activate, once they are gone Markis's dead body magically teleports to the fort to be killed again for the cinematic...
